61% of Americans say United States has ‘pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track’
A recent poll depicts that 61% of Americans believe the United States has really got off on the wrong track.
The Morning Consult/Politico poll of 1,997 registered voters carried out from Saturday to Monday shows that only 39% see the United States going in a good direction.
President Biden saw his own approval ratings take a steep fall as he undergoes heavy criticism over his managing of the United States military evacuation from Afghanistan, even with the president calling the operation an “extraordinary success.”
The survey depicted that only 30% of United States voters very or kind of approved of how Biden managed the Afghanistan evacuation, while 61% said they very or kind of disapproved.
Voters were questioned, “How well, if at all, do you think the withdrawal of U.S. military presence in Afghanistan is going?” An overwhelming 72% of respondents declared the troop removal was not going favorably, including 49% who said it was “not well at all.”
The withdrawal of Kabul got worse with the suicide bombing at the Hamid Karzai International Airport that killed thirteen United States service members and 169 Afghans allies. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said less than two hundred Americans are still in Afghanistan, and the number is “likely closer to 100.”
There were 75% who are discouraged about the future of Afghanistan now that the Taliban have taken control of the country.
President Biden’s managing on national security received 50% disapproval and 41% approval.
Then immigration, 55% said they disapproved of Biden’s handling of the crisis.
There were 52% of voters who said they “strongly approve” or “somewhat approve” of Biden’s managing of the COVID-19 pandemic, versus 44% who disapprove.
There were 44% of poll takers who approve of Biden’s management of the economy, while 49% were not happy with his effort. On the topic of jobs, 46% said they approve of Biden’s path, and 45% disapprove.
The survey also depicted that President Biden has hit a very low approval rating with 47%, while 49% disapprove of the president’s overall job performance.
A USA Today/Suffolk University poll from August twenty fourth showed that Biden’s job approval went down to 41%, with 55% disapproving of the president’s performance.
The most recent RealClearPolitics presidential job approval tracker depicts Biden is sinking. Biden’s job approval is at 49.4% disapproval and 45.4% approval, which is the lowest of his presidency. Biden’s initial job ratings on January twenty seventh were at 55.7% approval and 36% disapproval.
A Rasmussen Reports poll put out this week showed that 52% of likely United States voters said Biden should resign.
